The goal of this program is to improve patient fracture risk assessment through use of the trabecular bone score (TBS) and improve management of segmental femur fractures. After hear ing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare use of TBS and bone mineral density in predict ing fracture risk. 2. Judge the impact of individual patient factors on variation in TBS measurements. 3. Incorporate updated recommendations from the Interna tional Society of Clinical Densitometry when assessing patient fracture risk. 4. Appraise the challenges associated with reduction of seg mental femur fractures. 5. Evaluate evidence-based practices to facilitate treatment of segmental femur fractures.
