La Crosse encephalitis is a relatively uncommon arboviral illness predominantly seen in the pediatric population but may also affect adults. Though no clear treatment guidelines exist for La Crosse encephalitis, its early recognition and symptomatic management are important for improved outcomes. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of La Crosse encephalitis and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in the care of patients with this condition.
