Labia minora reduction is indicated for any patient wishing to reduce the size of their labia minora. This can be for cosmetic reasons or due to physical discomfort associated with a protuberant labia minora during intercourse or during daily life while wearing certain undergarments. Traditionally, two surgical techniques, the trim technique and the wedge technique are performed to reduce labial excess. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of patients undergoing labia reduction, reviews the surgical techniques involved, and highlights the role of interprofessional team members in collaborating to provide well-coordinated care and enhance patient outcomes.
