This panel discussion will explain immediate laryngeal dysfunction after thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and the role of early recognition, laryngeal examination and treatment for patients with concern based upon intraoperative findings and/or symptoms. Laryngeal dysfunction after thyroid and parathyroid surgery is not unknown but may presents as voice, swallow, cough and everything in between. This session will host a few cases that present various forms of laryngeal dysfunction after surgery and how examination and treatment may be initiated.
