The goal of this program is to improve the management of lattice degeneration, uveitis masquerade syndromes, hereditary retinal disease, and diabetic retinopathy. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify features of lattice degeneration that increase the risk for retinal detachment.
2. Determine which patients with lattice degeneration should undergo treatment.
3. Use clinical and laboratory testing to differentiate uveitis masquerade syndromes from immune-mediated uveitis.
4. Utilize electrophysiology and genetic testing to diagnose inherited retinal diseases.
5. Diagnose early-stage diabetic retinopathy by measuring neural dysfunction.
