This course is designed to help mental health clinicians learn and apply prolonged exposure therapy (PE) principles for patients with PTSD. PE for PTSD is a short-term therapy that has been proven effective for patients with PTSD following any kind of traumatic event. In about 9 to 12 sessions, a therapist can help war veterans, rape survivors, other kinds of victims, and survivors of catastrophes, among other events, regain their lives and feel “normal” again.
