The goal of this program is to improve management of patients in the emergency department, and emergency response across hospital systems. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Implement strategies to reduce risk for infection of health care workers with COVID-19.
2. Administer troponin tests to patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome in the emergency department.
3. Treat patients with acute agitation in the emergency department with the appropriate medication.
4. Devise a structure for coordinating among health care systems during emergencies.
5. Allocate health care resources during surges to prevent activation of crisis standards of care.
