The goal of this program is to improve management of liver preservation, management of transplantation of organs from hepatitis C virus (HCV)-positive donors, and management of drainage procedures with endoscopic ultrasonography. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare and contrast machine perfusion with other procedures for organ preservation. 2. Choose the best approach for preservation of donation after circulatory death allografts. 3. Advise patients on the risks and benefits of transplantation of organs from HCV-positive donors. 4. Devise antiviral regimens based on patients hepatitis C genotype. 5. Select a procedure for bile duct drainage in patients ineligible for surgery.
