The goal of this program is to improve management of liver transplantation (LT) recipients in the emergency department (ED) and management of rhabdomyolysis. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Anticipate potential complications in LT recipients based on the postoperative timeframe.
2. Assess LT recipients for transplant rejection.
3. Apply appropriate management strategies to LT recipients in the ED.
4. Recognize the causes and presentation of rhabdomyolysis.
5. Develop an appropriate plan for the management of rhabdomyolysis, regardless of cause.
