The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to describe long-term (starting 3-6 months after acute PE) outcomes of PE in 150 children (0-18 years) studied with a protocol including clinical evaluation, chest imaging, echocardiography, pulmonary function tests, and cardiopulmonary exercise tests at follow-up, based on a single-center study at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto, Canada, in 2004.
