Lymphoma Diagnosis and Reporting in Cytology Specimens

Lymphoma Diagnosis and Reporting in Cytology Specimens

The diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders is increasingly more complex. It requires understanding of different types of ancillary tests and integration of their results to achieve an accurate diagnosis. Furthermore, there is an increasingly number of new distinct entities being introduced with therapeutic implications. The presentation will focus on the diagnostic approach to lymphoproliferative disorders in cytology specimens, particularly the ones that present primarily as cytology specimens. The proposed Sydney system for reporting lymphoid lesions will also be discussed.
