The Black Women’s Health Imperative (BWHI) created the first CDC-approved T2D prevention program curriculum tailored for Black women. The culturally tailored curriculum was designed with input from Black women to address challenges preventing them from reaching program goals outlined in the National Diabetes Prevention Program. The distance learning program content is delivered using the BWHI App and facilitated by trained lifestyle coaches using a High-Touch Coaching™ model. This session describes best practices for engaging Black women, scaling participation, overcoming enrollment barriers, and evaluating the program.
