Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Children With Obesity (AMW2023)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This international symposium will discuss differences in prevalence, diagnosis, imaging, surgical management and follow-up of parotid tumors. With expert panelists, it will be case based and focused on interactive discussion with the audience. We will bring discussions about new strategies recently used in the treatment of these tumors, such as retroauricular access, minimally invasive incisions with extracapsular dissection and the use of robotic surgery to perform parotidectomy, through clinical cases and discussions, as well as pooled questions to the audience. we will also discuss the pearls and pitfalls in these approaches, and through the experience of the panelists, help to disseminate these new surgical approach strategies in the treatment of parotid neoplasms. Gathering experts from United States and Brazil we will discuss every aspect of each case with audience pooling.OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: Select patients with benign and malignant parotid tumors for different surgical approachesOUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: Recognize the utility of minimally invasive approaches and robotic parotidectomyOUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: Select patients to start these new approaches to the parotid gland, with pearls and pitfalls for the first casesBACKGROUND STATEMENT: Despite surgery for the treatment of parotid tumors is a safe and common procedure, in recent decades, little has been proposed regarding changes in its technique. New techniques as minimally invasive surgery with retroauricullar approach or robotic surgery should be adressed in this meeting.
