The goal of this program is to improve management of primary angle closure disease. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Describe the stages and mechanisms of primary angle closure disease.
2. Choose between laser iridotomy or phacoemulsification for management of patients with primary angle closure disease.
3. Initiate prompt treatment to break acute angle closure attacks and prevent subsequent increase in intraocular pressure or and attack in the fellow eye.
