The goal of this program is to improve management of severe asthma exacerbations. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Choose appropriate settings for use of bilevel positive-airway pressure (BiPAP) for a patient with an episode of severe refractory asthma. 2. Administer medications to improve tolerance of BiPAP for a patient with an episode of severe refractory asthma.
