The goal of this program is to improve management of issues associated with the onset of puberty in children and adolescents with developmental delay. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify how disabilities affect the timing and trajectory of puberty.
2. Counsel adolescents with developmental delays about body autonomy, menstrual hygiene, and self-care.
