The goal of this program is to improve prevention and management of pediatric migraine and the medical management of depression in children and adolescents. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Detect migraine disability in children and adolescents.
2. Employ preventive strategies for migraine in children and adolescents.
3. Select appropriate medications for the treatment of pediatric migraine.
4. Review the mechanism of action of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
5. Choose appropriate SSRIs for the treatment of depression in children and adolescents with or without comorbidities.
