The goal of this program is to improve management of migraine and counsel patients on physical exercise. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Diagnose migraine using established criteria. 2. Select appropriate medications to decrease severity and disability associated with an acute migraine. 3. Develop nonpharmaceutical and pharmaceutical strategies for prevention of migraine. 4. Provide recommendations for physical exercise based on patient age, cardiovascular comorbidities, and risk for dementia. 5. Summarize the association between cardiopulmonary fitness and risk for dementia.
