The goal of this program is to improve the use of a multidisciplinary care approach in the management of intractable headaches, the diagnosis and management of intractable and refractory headache, and prevention or slowing of Alzheimer disease progression in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Recognize the importance of multidisciplinary care in the management of intractable headaches.
2. Compare various techniques for managing intractable headaches.
3. Distinguish between intractable and refractory migraines.
4. Apply therapeutic algorithms for managing refractory migraine.
5. Elaborate on the bidirectional relationship between OSA and Alzheimer disease.
