The Women’s Health Master Class – based on principles of adult education and continuing medical education literature – is specifically designed to build upon participants’ and interprofessional healthcare teams’ foundational knowledge and practice skills regarding gender-specific health care. In keeping with best practices of medical education, this training will utilize didactic web-based modules, active application of learned knowledge via virtual patient scenarios, and spaced learning with quizzing to increase retrieval and enhance learning. The overall purpose of this program is to ensure women’s health providers have the knowledge they need to provide comprehensive gender-specific care to women Veterans. This enduring program will also assist in building a high-performance healthcare network which adheres to best clinical practices.
