The goal of this program is to improve management of chest pain in pediatric patients and palpitations in pediatric patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Diagnose cardiac and noncardiac causes of chest pain in chil-dren through features of the history and physical examination. 2. Identify red-flag criteria which warrant cardiology referral for additional evaluation of pediatric chest pain. 3. Recognize diagnostic features associated with myocarditis. 4. Differentiate among sinus tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia. 5. Recommend diagnostic modalities for arrhythmias in pediatric patients.
