Molecular Yield and Cytomorphologic Assessment of Fine Needle Aspiration Specimen Supernatants

Molecular Yield and Cytomorphologic Assessment of Fine Needle Aspiration Specimen Supernatants

To discuss the role of residual supernatant material as a source of both cellular and cell free DNA (cfDNA) To compare the molecular tests done on this source (supernatant) from fine needle aspirates to the clinical sample counterparts including formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue To evaluate the centrifugation setting on supernatant overall cellularity(OC) and tumor cellularity (TC) yield were evaluated To reflect on how delayed molecular testing after 3, 4 and 7 days performed.
