The goal of this program is to improve management of migraine in women, management of menstrual migraine, and outcomes of stroke during pregnancy. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Identify hormonal changes that contribute to migraine during menstrual cycle.
2. Explain the relationship between calcitonin gene-related peptide and migraine.
3. Choose appropriate strategies for prevention and treatment of menstrual-related migraines.
4. Assess the safety of imaging studies in pregnant women with suspected stroke.
5. Develop treatment strategies for prevention and management of stroke during the pregnancy and postpartum period.
