After hearing and assimilating this program, the clini-cians will be able to: 1. Differentiate between the symptoms of irritable bowel syn-drome (IBS) and other GI conditions. 2. Recommend dietary, pharmacologic, and nonpharmacologic interventions for the management of IBS. 3. Devise an effective management plan for constipation and pelvic floor dysfunction. 4. Identify the dietary and herbal supplements commonly used for managing hypercholesterolemia and their potential impacts on cardiovascular health. 5. Assess the risks and benefits associated with red yeast rice, niacin, berberine, citrus bergamot, fish oil, garlic, vitamin K2, L-arginine, and calcium supplementation.
