The goal of this program is to improve management of osteoporosis and hypertension (HTN). After hearing and assimilating this pro-gram, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Assess fracture risk based on bone mineral densitometry and presence of contributory risk factors.
2. Identify the benefits of calcium and vitamin D3 supplementation in the prevention of major osteoporotic fractures.
3. Recognize the risks and benefits associated with bisphosphonate therapy for the management of osteoporosis.
4. Evaluate the efficacy of alternative antiresorptive agents for management of osteoporosis.
5. Appraise the utility of digital tools in the management of HTN.
