This ECHO program will focus on substance use disorders (SUD), especially opioid use disorder, in pregnant and recently pregnant persons. Learners will hear about the New Mexico epidemiology and diagnosis of SUD in women with a focus on opioid use disorder (OUD), the stigma towards pregnant and parenting persons and use of appropriate language, as well as treatment options and best practices for managing buprenorphine in pregnancy. The goal is to increase the number of providers who provide screening and diagnosis of SUD and can initiate or maintain MOUD for pregnant and recently pregnant people.
