Nutrition for Bone Health/Femoral Neck Fracture in Young Adults

The goal of this program is to improve management of bone health through nutrition and femoral neck fractures (FNFs) in young adults. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Prescribe appropriate amounts and sources of calcium to preserve bone health. 2. Optimize serum acid-base balance to maximize bone health. 3. Analyze evidence-based data supporting the supplementa tion of non-calcium nutrients for maximal bone health. 4. Weigh the benefits of open vs closed reduction in the repair of FNFs. 5. Explain the differences between open and closed reduc tions of FNFs.
