The goal of this program is to improve use of a gluten-free diet, management of nutrition in patients after bariatric surgery, and diet for weight control. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare effects of a diet including 50 mg of gluten vs 0 mg. 2. Explain cross contact in a gluten-free diet. 3. Differentiate among various procedures in bariatric surgery. 4. Optimize protein intake in patients after bariatric surgery. 5. Choose optimal lifestyle modification strategies in patients requiring meaningful weight loss.
