Nutrition plays a crucial role in managing obesity. Three approaches have garnered attention for their effectiveness. The low-carbohydrate diet emphasizes reduced intake of sugars and starches, promoting weight loss through ketogenic mechanisms. The Mediterranean diet, inspired by the traditional eating patterns of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, focuses on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, offering a balanced and sustainable approach. The plant-based diet centers around fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and legumes, minimizing or excluding animal products. Participants will identify how these nutritional interventions can provide patients with options to develop dietary plans based on personal preferences and health goals. In this session, each nutritional plan will be covered in a 15 minute presentation where speakers will promote their specific dietary program. The session will conclude with a 15 minute Q&A.
