The goal of this program is to improve administration of obstetric anesthesia, optimizing use of anesthesia in pediatric patients, and responses to catastrophic perioperative events. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Compare adverse effects on breastfeeding in neostigmine vs glycopyrrolate. 2. Cite pain scores associated with dexamethasone after cesarean delivery. 3. Evaluate the results of recent studies assessing the neurodevelopmental effects of anesthesia in young children and the validity of current nil per os guidelines. 4. Differentiate between guilt and shame in second victim syndrome. 5. Explain the second victim recovery trajectory.
