Ocular Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is a chronic multisystemic granulomatous disorder characterized by the accumulation of non-caseating granulomas in the involved tissues. Patients with ocular sarcoidosis present with a myriad of clinical features such as uveitis, conjunctival nodules, eyelid thickening, orbital inflammation, and facial nerve palsy. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of ocular sarcoidosis and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in evaluating and treating patients with this condition.
