The goal of this program is to improve the use of transnasal esophagoscopy (TNE) for treatment of esophageal stenosis in patients with head and neck cancer and the management of retrograde cricopharyngeal dysfunction (RCPD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be better able to: 1. Appreciate the advancements that have made TNE a viable option for esophageal stenosis. 2. Counsel patients on the need for repeat TNE procedures when treating esophageal strictures. 3. Review the pathophysiology of RCPD. 4. Use appropriate diagnostic tools to confirm RCPD. 5. Implement effective treatment strategies for RCPD.
