The goal of this program is to improve the management of orthopedic infections and acetabular bone loss in revision total hip arthroplasty. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Evaluate hyperglycemia in patients using fructosamine. 2. Explain how geographic differences in food habits can result in increased incidence in disease linked to the gut microbione. 3. Use genomic information to diagnose orthopedic infections. 4. Distinguish between type 2 and type 3 acetabular defects in the classification system. 5. Identify key components in managing Paprosky III defects.
