The goal of this program is to improve pain management and mitigate the risk of opioid use disorder in patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinicians will be able to: 1. Devise a multimodal treatment approach for compre hensive chronic pain management, including cognitive behavioral therapy. 2. Compare effectiveness of drugs used for pain management among various types of pain. 3. Optimize use of assessment tools to determine risk for opioid use disorder in patients with pain. 4. List adverse events associated with use of opioids in pain management. 5. Use appropriate drug regimens in patients with break through pain.
