The goal of this program is to improve palliative and end-of-life care in pediatric patients and management of chronic neutrope nia in the pediatric population. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate palliative care from hospice care. 2. Evaluate communication strategies in pediatric hospice care. 3. Optimize pain management in palliative care for pediatric patients. 4. Outline the different types of neutropenia in pediatrics. 5. Compare incidence of the Duffy-null phenotype in the United States in Black vs White individuals.
