The goal of this program is to improve prevention of fragility frac tures (FFs) through management of parathyroid disease and osteo porosis and management of Parkinson disease (PD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Analyze laboratory testing results to diagnose parathyroid disease. 2. Reduce FFs through appropriate medical and surgical treat ment of osteoporosis and parathyroid disease. 3. Apply diagnostic criteria for patients suspected to have PD. 4. Identify adverse effects associated with medications pre scribed for PD. 5. Optimize initiation of medications for PD based on patient characteristics.
