The goal of this activity is to improve the parenting approach to adolescent mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Recognize the magnitude of pandemic-driven stress and its impact on adolescent mental health.
2. Strategize with parents about developing appropriate and effective goals for meeting their child’s mental health needs.
3. Recommend positive parenting and self-calming strategies for managing stress in the family environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
