The goal of this program is to improve management of allergies and management of Kawasaki disease and multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Determine which symptoms of allergic reactions may be treated with antihistamines.
2. Reverse the effects of anaphylaxis.
3. Distinguish congenital skin conditions from skin conditions caused by allergic reactions.
4. Choose the appropriate treatment for rapid administration to patients with Kawasaki disease.
5. Relate diagnostic findings in patients with multisystem inflammatory syndrome to the risk for coronary abnormalities.
