The goal of this program is to improve reduction of risk associated with ophthalmic surgery in the pediatric population and quantitative monitoring of neuromuscular blockade. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. List characteristics of patients with Sturge-Weber syndrome.
2. Optimize use of anesthesia in patients with Alport syndrome.
3. Assess the severity of sleep apnea in children.
4. Use mechanomyography in monitoring of neuromuscular blockade.
5. Compare use of acceleromyography with electromyography in monitoring of neuromuscular blockade.
