The goal of this program is to improve identification and management of eating disorders in pediatric patients. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Cite changes in classification and criteria of eating disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (Fifth Edition).
2. List symptoms of orthorexia in patients with eating disorders.
3. Identify commonalities and differences between obsessive-compulsive disorder and anorexia nervosa.
4. Assess the impact of eating disorders on the LGBTQ population.
5. Explain the Maudsley Method used in management of eating disorders.
