The goal of this program is to improve management of various conditions in the emergency department and discharge management of patients with heart failure. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Explain why patients with COVID-19 were being treated similar to patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. 2. Optimize positioning of patients with stroke. 3. List strategies used for patients with heart failure who are not improving or who are worsening. 4. Use the focused discharge handoff in patients with heart failure. 5. Differentiate the focused discharge handoff from the electronic medical record.
