Perinatal Mental Health and Substance Use Virtual Learning Collaborative

Perinatal Mental Health and Substance Use Virtual Learning Collaborative

The Perinatal Health and Substance Use virtual learning collaborative will provide blended learning materials paired with quality improvement activities designed for pediatric hospital teams that want to improve the discharge planning process for infants born substance-exposed and/or with NAS and their birth parents. The collaborative will serve as a forum for hospital-based pediatric teams to improve the hospital discharge processes for families affected by prenatal substance exposure. The project will focus on advancing recovery-friendly environments for the mother-infant dyad to ensure a safer transition from hospital to home such as referrals to supportive community providers to improve family health outcomes.
