The goal of this program is to improve perioperative management of Fontan physiology, and use of non operating room anesthesia in current and emerging endoscopic procedures. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate among imaging modalities in evaluation of Fontan physiology. 2. Develop ventilation strategies for patients with Fontan physi ology who are undergoing surgery. 3. Explain closed claims analyses comparing use of endo scopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with esophagogastroduodenoscopy. 4. Optimize use of sedation and anesthesia in injection of botu linum toxin to treat achalasia. 5. Determine the contractility of the esophagus through use of endoluminal function lumen imaging.
