The goal of this program is to improve the implementation of perioperative simulation to enhance provider skills and patient outcomes and patient outcomes through adherence to enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. List the resources required to optimize perioperative simulation. 2. Compare virtual reality with traditional perioperative simulation. 3. Cite data showing shortened length of stay using ERAS pathway. 4. Compare reduction in length of stay using ERAS protocols among various specialties and procedures. 5. Optimize use of iron supplementation in treatment of preoperative anemia.
