The goal of this program is to improve diagnosis and management of globus, patient outcomes after surgery for sialolithiasis, and diagnosis and management of Zenker diverticulum. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Differentiate globus sensation from conditions with a similar presentation. 2. Identify the role of speech language pathologists in the management of globus. 3. Evaluate key outcomes measures for sialolithiasis surgery and the effect of surgical treatment on the patient s quality of life. 4. Diagnose Zenker diverticulum based on presenting features. 5. Develop evidence-based strategies for the management of Zenker diverticulum.
