The goal of this program is to improve use of phone applications in emergency medicine practice, mental health services, and gami fication for medical education. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to: 1. Identify mobile phone applications that can be used to guide management in the emergency department. 2. Summarize the benefits of mindfulness applications for patients and providers. 3. Explain how adverse childhood experiences contribute to unpro cessed trauma and increase risk for mental health disorders in physicians. 4. Incorporate elements of games into medical education to improve learning outcomes. 5. Identify limitations of gamification for medical education.
