The goal of this program is to improve management of pilonidal disease (PD) and hidradenitis suppurativa, and techniques of resuscitation in patients with trauma or sepsis. After hearing and assimilating this program, clinicians will be able to: 1. Differentiate PD from conditions that mimic PD. 2. Select treatments for PD according to severity. 3. Compare and contrast surgical treatments for PD. 4. Choose fluids for resuscitation in patients with trauma based on type of injury. 5. Integrate recommendations from current sepsis guidelines into care decisions.
