It is well documented that there are numerous challenges in translating research findings to clinical practice across nearly every area of health care, often leading to lengthy delays in the implementation of new information in clinical settings. The Pittsburgh Bereavement Network (PBN) is a membership organization with the goal of connecting practitioners with researchers and thought leaders in the end-of-life and bereavement fields. The PBN’s Lunch and Learn series is uniquely positioned to leverage these connections between researchers and academic practitioners at world-class institutions and care providers facing and meeting clinical challenges daily to help shape best practices in end-of-life and bereavement care for patients and their families. Each Lunch and Learn will provide a one-hour presentation of academic research and/or clinical practice related to the field of grief and bereavement.
