Polydactyly may indicate the presence of a very serious underlying disease or may present as an isolated finding. It may present in upper extremity or lower extremity and either medially or laterally. To avoid cosmetic problems and associated morbidity, it must be promptly diagnosed and treated. This activity reviews the evaluation and treatment of polydactyly and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in the care of patients with this condition.
