Bariatric surgery has been reported to help achieve more significant and sustained weight loss than non-surgical management in patients with severe obesity. The number of bariatric surgeries performed has increased yearly from 2011 through 2019. Post-bariatric surgery hypoglycemia is an increasingly recognized complication. It can have significant effects on the quality of life of an individual. This activity reviews the various patterns of post-bariatric surgery hypoglycemia, pathophysiology, evaluation, differential diagnosis, and treatment and highlights the role of the interprofessional team in evaluating and treating patients with this condition.
